  • Alex Stanford-Tuck founded Somers Real Estate in September 2009. As a Director, he concentrates on acquisitions, disposals and professional consultancy.

He first studied Business Administration in Newcastle as an undergraduate and progressed to a graduate at Kingston University, where he read for his Master of Arts in European Real Estate (Immobilia).

Alex’s career started in a residential agency with Cluttons in Bayswater and St John’s Wood. He spent his six years there advising and assuring landed Estates across London on complex agency matters. Alex moved into commercial asset management and after qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor in 2006, he joined Knight Frank. There, he carried out Red Book valuations for secured loan purposes to schools for a variety of banking clients. Not being one to rest on his laurels, Alex made a great success of sales, acting on behalf of schools, training centres, religious institutions and charities.

Alex now receives special recognition for his real estate work in the education sector.

  • As a Director at Somers Real Estate, Dan Tregoning specialises in investment, acquisitions and disposals.

Dan studied Real Estate Management in Oxford, qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor in 2002 and achieving his Investment Management Certificate in 2010. He then accrued over ten years’ experience in the UK and European commercial property market before joining Alex at Somers.

Dan has formed his career by using his experience to build strong relationships in real estate and investment markets. He started out at Nelson Bakewell (now Capita) including a secondment at the Royal Bank of Scotland. In 2005, Dan moved to Kenington’s where he became divisional Head of Investment.

At Kenington’s, Dan concentrated on his select clients ranging from institutions, investment funds and private clients, property developers, friendly societies and trade unions. Well documented success with all these wide-ranging clients, brought recognition and exceptional experience in sourcing property, brokering and completing transactions.

  • Lucy Swinburne joined Somers as their Marketing & Operations Manager. Her role entails the preparation of property particular’s and marketing strategy, database management, developing and updating systems, designing marketing collateral and general office administration.

She originally trained as a Graphic Designer but instead of securing a design placement, she used her knowledge in the print industry and spent 10 enjoyable years working as a print estimator and account executive.

Lucy is very creative, and her art work has been exhibited at London galleries in the Mall and Waterloo. She has written many articles, paints commissions in her spare time and is an internationally published author and artist, with two ‘instructional art books’ under her belt and another underway.

Her work history has been varied within a corporate environment including managing a credit referencing company of over 25 staff, to being PA at Lovetts Chartered Accountants, where she handled a multitude of tasks including their website and marketing. Lucy has spent the last five years working in the construction industry, in sales, marketing and office management.
